notbissett calls on Phil Bissett to release target letter

On May 17, 2005, Phil Bissett was forced to resign his appointed position as Director of Maryland's MARC Train System after being advised by the U.S. Office of Special Counsel that he was violating Federal Law. notbissett calls on Bissett to release the May 3, 2005 letter from Ana Galindo-Marrone, then-chief of the Hatch Act unit in the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, advising him of his illegal activity. For the sake of openness and transparency, don't the citizens of Anne Arundel County's District 7 have a right to know?

"We understand . . . that you (Bissett) have substantial control over directing the flow of federal funding to capital projects, determining which projects are to be completed, and prioritizing those projects," Ana Galindo-Marrone said in a May 3, 2005 letter to Bissett. This letter "serves as notice," she wrote, "that your current candidacy for Anne Arundel County Executive is in violation of the Hatch Act."

" ...our government needs to be open and responsive", Bissett states on his campaign website. notbisset calls on Bissett to be open and responsive! Be honest Phil and release the letter so voters can decide!

We deserve better in Anne Arundel County!
